Why is GFT facilitating the transfer of my account to FOREX.com?

GFT made the difficult business decision to cease supporting U.S. retail forex trading effective December 2, 2012.
So that you can continue to trade FX without any further interruption GFT made arrangements to transfer your account to FOREX.com, one of the largest providers of retail foreign exchange in the market. GAIN Capital Group LLC (dba FOREX.com) is the US regulated entity of GAIN Capital Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:GCAP).
Accounts of US residents were transferred to FOREX.com on Friday, December 7th at 12:00 am. Accounts of non-US residents were transferred on Friday, December 7th at 5:00 pm.
How will my account be affected after it is transferred to FOREX.com?

You will be able to continue trading on the DealBook platform or, if you're an MT4 trader, your MT4 platform. Your trading history will remain available. Platform updates will be coming over in the next week.
- Your account number & login credentials will not change.
- Your open positions & pending orders will remain intact.
- Your account history will remain intact
- Future deposits and withdrawals will be handled through FOREX.com.
- You will trade on the same spreads and have access to a range of 50 currency pairs currently available to you as a GFT customer.
- You will have access to customer service by phone, email or chat 7 days a week, including 24 hours a day during trading hours.
How will I know that my account has been successfully transferred?

An email communication was sent to customers on Friday, December 7, 2012.
You can call us at 855.801.8230 or 908.458.8294 (Int'l).
You will be able to continue trading on the DealBook platform or, if you’re an MT4 trader, your MT4 platform. Your trading history will remain available.
There is no change to the products you can trade on both DealBook360 and MetaTrader.
You may continue to use the same user id and password to access your account.
Will my open positions and pending orders transfer?

In order to make this transition as seamless as possible, all open positions and pending orders were transferred. We encourage you to log in to your account and Review all open positions and pending orders.
You can add funds to your DealBook and MetaTrader accounts directly from the FOREX.com website. Click here to add funds.
You may fund via credit or debit card, check or wire in US Dollar, Euro, British Pound (Sterling), Australian Dollar, and New Zealand Dollar.
How can I request a withdrawal from my account?
