Italy 40 is our market for Italy’s leading stock market index the FTSE MIB 40, which contains the 40 largest and most liquid companies trading on the Borsa Italiana. It seeks to replicate the weight of industries within the Italian economy to act as a benchmark for the entire stock market.

The stock index is administered by the FTSE Group, which also runs the UK’s FTSE 100 index.

The FTSE MIB 40 is market-capitalization weighted, which means the larger companies have more impact on the market price. Some of the most famous constituents of the index are Ferrari, UniCredit, Campari, and Juventus Football Club.
