Spain 35 is our market on the IBEX 35 stock index, which represents the 35 most prominent and liquid companies on the Madrid Stock Exchange. It’s used as a domestic and international benchmark for the Spanish equity market.

The index is comprised of companies from across industries, to ensure it reflects Spain’s economy. It includes companies like Santander (banking), Iberdrola (utilities), Repsol (oil/gas), and ArcelorMittal (industry).

The IBEX 35 is weighted by market capitalization and adjusted according to the free float of each company comprised in the index. It’s managed by the Sociedad de Bolsas, the company that runs Spain’s securities market.
