The US Small Cap 2000 is our market on the Russell 2000, an index comprised of 2000 small-capitalisation companies incorporated on US exchanges. The index is listed under the ticker INDEXRUSSELL:RUT.

The Russell 2000 is designed to track the performance of smaller and more volatile companies than those that are tracked by the major US indices – such as the S&P 500 (US SP 500) and Dow Jones (Wall Street).

The index is market-capitalisation weighted, which means that the largest companies on the index have a greater influence over the final price. Constituents include Ovintiv, Antero Resources Group, and Chesapeake Energy Corp.
