What are workspaces?
With new HTML5 technology you can now switch between workspaces quickly and easily. Our new features include:
- A simplified view of components
- Components that snap into grids
- Multi-watchlist view at the same time
- Re-order watchlists and markets in watchlists
How do I create a new workspace?
To create a new workspace, click the '+' icon on the tabs menu (where 'standard workspace' appears as the default tab when you first log in). This will launch the 'create new workspace' menu, from which you can choose either an empty workspace or one of our predefined, standard ones (which can be customised later). You can rename your new workspace by clicking the pencil icon next to the current name.
If you choose an empty workspace, you can add the components you’d like to have by selecting 'add to workspace' to bring up a list of available options. You can customise your workspace with watchlists, charts, a news feed, an economic calendar, positions and orders and much more.
Click and drag the elements you’ve chosen to the desired position on your screen. Resize component windows by clicking and dragging the arrow icons on the border. You can remove elements by clicking the 'x' symbol in the top-right.
How many workspaces can I create?
You can create up to 10 workspaces simultaneously, and switch between them seamlessly.
How many components can I have in one workspace?
You can load up to 10 charts per workspace, along with 1 other component.
Can I change the background colour and font size in my workspace?
Yes. From the top navigation bar, select the cog icon to open the 'settings' menu, then choose your desired theme to set the background colour.
How do I define workspaces to match my trading strategy?
You are now able to use multiple charts within the same workspace, overlay multiple markets, and trade directly from charts. We also have our new Market 360 view, which enables you to see all the information you need about a market in one workspace. You can find more information about it here.
