GBP/PLN market insights

Pivot points are a technical indicator that traders use to predict upcoming areas of technical significance, such as support and resistance. They're calculated by averaging the high, low and closing prices of a previous period. That could be a day, a week or a month.

If a market is trading above its previous pivot point (known as P), it is seen as a bullish signal. If it is below, it is bearish.

Support and resistance levels are a core part of technical analysis, providing crucial insight into possible future price reversals.

GBP/PLN details

GBP/PLN is a currency pair that consists of the Great British pound (the base) and Polish zloty (the quote). It tells you how many zloty it takes to purchase a single pound.

The market is considered an ‘exotic’ currency pair as it pits a non-major currency – the zloty – against a major one, the pound. The zloty is the most traded Central and Eastern European currency, although it falls outside the global top 10 currencies.

Poland is a member of the European Union but has been reluctant to join the Eurozone.
