Gold and Silver Broke Their Uptrend but the Floor Held Firm

By :   Razan Hilal, CMT , Market Analyst

The gold and silver outlook keeps its long-term bullish structure even after both metals broke below their July to September 2026 uptrend.

Razan Hilal, StoneX Media Market Analyst, maps the support and resistance zones on the gold and silver charts across multiple timeframes. Gold is testing the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement of its July to August 2026 advance, with the 2026 yearly lows separating a correction from a deeper drawdown.

Silver shows a very similar setup at its 61.8% retracement. A gold recovery would align with lower U.S. bond yields, and silver's upside with a broader risk-on mood.
