Weekly Equities Outlook: Cisco, CoreWeave, ITV
Cisco Q1 earnings
Cisco is due to report fiscal Q1 earnings on November 12.
Expectations are for revenue of $18.1 billion, marking 21.7% year-on-year growth. EPS is forecast to come in at $1.33, up 32% compared with the same period a year ago. Gross margins are expected to decline to 65.5% from 66.3% in the previous quarter.
For the coming fiscal Q2, analysts forecast EPS of $1.23, down 17.8%, while revenue is expected to rise by 16.4% to $17.9 billion.
Results come amid concerns over margin pressure impacting earnings growth in coming quarters.
Cisco expects $7.5 billion in cloud computing and AI infrastructure revenue in fiscal 2027, versus roughly $4 billion in fiscal 2026. AI is supporting stronger revenue growth, although a rising hyperscaler hardware mix is expected to weigh on gross margins.
Cisco has shifted away from its core business of selling network switches and routers. Through acquisitions, Cisco aims to increase revenue from software and services.
How to trade Cisco earnings?
Cisco trades below its falling trendline. It recently broke aggressively below its 200 EMA, falling to current levels of $93.85, last seen in May last year. The RSI has tipped into oversold territory, so a period of consolidation could be on the cards, but the picture remains bearish.
Sellers will look towards $86, the February 26 low.
Any recovery would need to take the price back above the 200 EMA at $101. A rise above here would turn attention to $112.
CoreWeave Q3 earnings
CoreWeave is scheduled to report Q3 earnings on November 10 after the market close.
EPS is expected to rise to $1.17 per share on revenue of $3.5 billion, indicating a 159% year-on-year increase.
Robust demand for AI computing capacity, expanding infrastructure and a growing customer backlog are expected to have driven a strong third-quarter performance.
CoreWeave delivered strong Q2 2026 results, with revenue more than doubling to $2.58 billion, supported by sustained demand for AI infrastructure. Revenue backlog also reached $104 billion as of June 30, while the company secured more than $25 billion in additional net customer commitments early in the third quarter.
However, the earnings come after the share price plunged last week on concerns about a slowing AI data centre buildout under a Democratic Congress. Neo-cloud stocks have been particularly damaged, given they are a barometer of market sentiment towards the AI trade.
How to trade CRWV earnings?
CoreWeave trades below its 50 and 200 EMAs in a bearish picture. The price has fallen to $40, a level last seen in May last year. The RSI hovers around oversold territory. There could be a period of consolidation or even a slight move higher.
Without a full reversal signal, sellers will look towards $36.35, the April 25 low.
On the upside, buyers will need to retake $60, the 50 EMA and the July low, in order to bring $65–$68 into focus as horizontal resistance. Above here, the price would be on slightly firmer footing, with attention turning to the 50 EMA at $72, ahead of the 200 EMA at $87.
ITV Q3 earnings
ITV will report Q3 earnings on Wednesday as it faces an investigation into the £1.6 billion deal to sell its Media and Entertainment arm to Sky, with the Culture Secretary stepping in.
Earnings come amid questions over what the scrutiny could mean for the deal.
ITV had been hoping to reset by selling off its broadcast business and concentrating on TV production. Such a move would reduce its reliance on advertising spend, which is closely linked to economic cycles and has an outsized impact on investor sentiment.
Management will likely address concerns over what this means for its strategy, particularly if the deal ends up being blocked.
The deal was agreed in July to sell the Media and Entertainment division to Sky, which would create a major competitor among the global streaming giants.
Attention will be on signs of a pickup in revenues and profits after ITV said its performance would be weighted towards the second half of the year due to the scheduling of shows and licensing deals. However, it also cautioned that revenues were set to fall 5% year-on-year in Q3 due to macroeconomic headwinds.
In the first half, ITV saw pre-tax profits increase 16% to £78 million, as total revenues rose 2% to £1.89 billion.
How to trade ITV earnings?
ITV has broken out of a descending channel, but the breakout has yet to be confirmed, with the price remaining below the 50 EMA.
Buyers would need to retake the 50 EMA at 66.70 in order to turn attention towards 70, the March low, and 71, the 200 EMA. A rise above here would make the outlook significantly more constructive.
Failure to retake the 50 EMA could see the price fall back into the descending channel, towards 65. A break below this support would turn attention to 61, the October low.
