Greatwall Motor expects another up move

Asian stock markets were mostly higher today (October 30th) as investors reacted positively to the US Federal Reserve's decision to end its asset buying program.

Sentiment was also lifted when the Fed reiterated that interest rates will remain near zero for a considerable period of time.

It was widely anticipated that the US central bank would announce the conclusion of its quantitative easing programme, which started in 2008 after the start of the financial crisis.

Tokyo rose 0.67 per cent to 15,658.20 and Sydney added 0.52 per cent to 5,476.2, while Shanghai ended 0.76 per cent higher at 2,391.08.

However, Seoul edged down 0.11 per cent to 1,958.93 and Hong Kong gave up 0.49 per cent to 23,702.04.
