NZD/CAD market insights

Pivot points are a technical indicator that traders use to predict upcoming areas of technical significance, such as support and resistance. They're calculated by averaging the high, low and closing prices of a previous period. That could be a day, a week or a month.

If a market is trading above its previous pivot point (known as P), it is seen as a bullish signal. If it is below, it is bearish.

Support and resistance levels are a core part of technical analysis, providing crucial insight into possible future price reversals.

NZD/CAD details

NZD/CAD is a forex pair comprised of the New Zealand dollar and the Canadian dollar. CAD is the quote currency in the pair, so it tells you how many Canadian dollars it takes to buy a single New Zealand dollar.

NZD/CAD is a cross currency pair, as it pits two majors against each other instead of the US dollar. Both NZD and CAD are classed as commodity currencies, but for very different exports – NZD is driven primarily by agriculture products, while CAD can be closely correlated with oil.
