China A50 market insights
Pivot points are a technical indicator that traders use to predict upcoming areas of technical significance, such as support and resistance. They're calculated by averaging the high, low and closing prices of a previous period. That could be a day, a week or a month.
If a market is trading above its previous pivot point (known as P), it is seen as a bullish signal. If it is below, it is bearish.
Support and resistance levels are a core part of technical analysis, providing crucial insight into possible future price reversals.

China A50 details
The FTSE China A50 is a stock index that tracks 50 major stocks on listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange. It is seen as the Chinese mainland’s benchmark index.
The index only considers A-Share companies, and weights them by market cap – which means that stocks with a greater overall value have a greater influence on its price movements. Some important constituents include Kweichow Moutai, Ping An Insurance and China Merchants Bank.
Like many other FTSE indices, the A50 is free-float adjusted and screens stocks by their liquidity before considering them for inclusion.
