CAD/JPY market insights
Pivot points are a technical indicator that traders use to predict upcoming areas of technical significance, such as support and resistance. They're calculated by averaging the high, low and closing prices of a previous period. That could be a day, a week or a month.
If a market is trading above its previous pivot point (known as P), it is seen as a bullish signal. If it is below, it is bearish.
Support and resistance levels are a core part of technical analysis, providing crucial insight into possible future price reversals.

CAD/JPY details
CAD/JPY is a forex pair with the Canadian dollar as the base currency and Japanese yen as the quote. The live CAD/JPY price tells you how many yen it takes to buy a single Canadian dollar.
CAD generally trades at a lower price than the US dollar, which means that CAD/JPY is generally priced lower than USD/JPY. However, high oil prices can see CAD/JPY rise, as the Canadian economy is closely linked to crude oil.
As with any currency pair with JPY as the quote, a CAD/JPY pip is measured as a single digit move in the second figure after the decimal point – such as from 105.04 to 105.05 – instead of the fourth.
