EUR/CNH market insights

Pivot points are a technical indicator that traders use to predict upcoming areas of technical significance, such as support and resistance. They're calculated by averaging the high, low and closing prices of a previous period. That could be a day, a week or a month.

If a market is trading above its previous pivot point (known as P), it is seen as a bullish signal. If it is below, it is bearish.

Support and resistance levels are a core part of technical analysis, providing crucial insight into possible future price reversals.

EUR/CNH details

EUR/CNH is the forex ticker for the exchange rate between the euro and the offshore Chinese yuan. It tells traders how many yuan are needed to buy a single euro.

The euro is the currency of 19 EU member states, collectively known as the Eurozone. The yuan is the offshore Chinese currency, which is domestically listed as the Chinese renminbi (CNY).

Despite representing two of the world’s largest economies, EUR/CNH is an exotic pair as China is considered a developing nation. The pair experiences less volume than the majors, but usually has high volatility due to regular interventions from China’s central bank.
