The China A50 is a stock index made up of the 50 largest companies by market capitalization on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges. The China A50 allows foreign investors to gain exposure to a broad swath of companies representing the economy of mainland China. The index is operated by the Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) Group and only includes domestically issued “A” shares.

Some of the largest companies on the exchange include the distillers Kweichow Moutai and Wuliangye Yibin, life insurance company Ping An Insurance, and the China Merchants Bank.
