EUR/CAD market insights

Pivot points are a technical indicator that traders use to predict upcoming areas of technical significance, such as support and resistance. They're calculated by averaging the high, low and closing prices of a previous period. That could be a day, a week or a month.

If a market is trading above its previous pivot point (known as P), it is seen as a bullish signal. If it is below, it is bearish.

Support and resistance levels are a core part of technical analysis, providing crucial insight into possible future price reversals.

EUR/CAD details

The EUR/CAD forex pair is made up of the euro as the base currency and the Canadian dollar as the quote currency, meaning the value of EUR/CAD denotes how many Canadian dollars equal one euro.

The currency pair’s value is affected by all economic influences experienced in the Eurozone, as well as those unique to CAD such as crude oil prices, a major export of Canada.

The Eurozone market is Canada’s second-largest trading partner after the United States, making EUR/CAD a good economic indicator for Canada.
