BHP Group (ASX:BHP) is the Australian listing of BHP, a leading global mining company. BHP is headquartered in Australia but has a dual listing on both the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).
BHP stands for Broken Hill Proprietary, the company’s original name when it was founded in 1885. Recently, it has also been referred to as BHP Billiton, but began moving away from that name in 2017.
