What Stretched 10-Year Yields Mean for Major Currency Pairs in Q4

U.S. 10-year Treasury yields are nearing a long-term resistance zone with overbought RSI readings, raising near-term pullback risk for the dollar.

Razan Hilal, StoneX Media Market Analyst, explains the momentum warnings building across three-month, weekly and daily charts of U.S. 10-year Treasury yields. The U.S. Dollar Index is testing new 2026 highs, supported by rising Treasury yields, a relatively restrictive Federal Reserve and persistent Middle East geopolitical risk.

Bearish RSI divergence on the daily chart signals fading upside momentum in Treasury yields. A break back below a key threshold would raise the risk of a near-term reversal across yields, the U.S. dollar and major currency pairs.
