U.S. stocks are subdued on Monday as investors weigh oil prices and geopolitical developments, while looking cautiously ahead to Q3 bank earnings and inflation data later in the week.

The global equity markets remain under pressure and with oil surging higher again this week, we have even more reason to remain cautious. Already, the S&P and Nasdaq were running support from only a handful of hyperscalers and AI stocks. But even these indices have started to take notice of the deteriorating market breadth and global indices. Still, for me, the ongoing weakness is becoming more evident in the Dow and the small-cap Russell 2000 indices, and as such I will continuing watching these markets closely to provide a more accurate signal about the health of the stock markets.

U.S. stocks are rising after weaker-than-expected U.S. jobs data saw markets rein in rate hike expectations.

When looking at the major tech-heavy US indices like the S&P 500 or the Nasdaq 100, you wouldn’t think that the stock market is particularly weak. Yet, beneath the surface, the market is far from healthy right now. Investors are evidently just piling into the big tech and AI names, and as a result, market breadth is deteriorating. Other indices like the small cap Russell 2000 and the Dow Jones are starting to reflect that weakness.

U.S. stocks are falling, further extending losses from the previous session, as oil prices move higher alongside Treasury yields and caution reigns ahead of the summit between President Trump and Xi Jinping.

U.S. stocks are opening lower on Wednesday, pressured by higher crude oil prices and rising government bond yields, as investors await further developments from negotiations in the Middle East and ahead of a key U.S.-China summit.

U.S. stocks are falling sharply as oil prices continue to climb above $100 a barrel and after hotter-than-expected PPI inflation data.

U.S. stocks are heading for a weaker start as fresh tensions between the U.S. and Iran, fading prospects of a peace deal in the Middle East and rising oil prices raise concerns over the inflation outlook

U.S. stocks are falling on Wednesday ahead of key earnings, which could provide further clues on the AI trade, while rising oil prices continue to weigh on sentiment as the conflict in the Middle East deepens.

U.S. futures are pointing to a muted open on the final trading day of the month, quarter and first half of the year after the Dow Jones achieved a record closing high on Monday.

U.S. futures are rising on Monday after the U.S. and Iran reached a preliminary agreement to end the Middle East conflict and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

U.S. stocks are set to open lower, easing back from record highs as rising oil prices and a flare-up in hostilities in the Middle East dent risk sentiment.

U.S. stocks are pointing to a modestly higher open ahead of the long weekend as investors continue to monitor developments in the Middle East.
