Netflix Q4 (Tuesday)

Netflix is due to report earnings this week. The streaming giant has continued to deliver consistent earnings and revenue growth, but the stock has been in a notable downtrend since the summer. This downtrend has been driven in part by the company's recent efforts to acquire some assets of Warner Bros Discovery. Given the focus on the Warner Bros deal, Netflix's results could play second fiddle.

Netflix and Paramount Skydance are battling to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery's film and streaming assets for almost $83 billion. There are reports that Netflix is prepared to switch the deal to an all-cash offer in order to win the bid.

The upside for Netflix of the acquisition is the potential to stabilise subscriptions, even if the HBO services remain separate altogether. Netflix has the lowest cancellation rate and could help to stem losses at HBO Max by bundling services.

Netflix is expected to post a 9% increase in profit to $0.55 a share with revenue up 17% to $12 billion. A strong lineup of originals, including the hit TV series Stranger Things, is expected to power solid holiday revenue. Netflix is yet to see any meaningful returns from its costly pushes into video games.

The company stopped sharing subscriber figures a year ago, but Visible Alpha estimates that it added around 10 million, bringing the total to 327 million users by year-end.

How to trade NFLX earnings?

After reaching a record high of 134 last year, Netflix has been trending lower. The price trades below its falling trendline, and the 50 SMA crossed below the 200 SMA to 88.00 at the time of writing, its lowest level since April last year. The RSI is oversold, so sellers should be cautious; there could be some consolidation.

Sellers could look to target 82,40 the April low.

On the upside, buyers will look to rise above the falling trendline resistance at 94.00. A rise above 97.15, the mid-December high, to create a higher high and expose the 50 SMA at 100.00.

Intel (Thursday)

Intel will report earnings as the share price trades at over 140% year-to-date, and I've already seen 19% in 2026 on the back of a huge turnaround in sentiment and favourable business developments.

Share price shot up last week following President Trump's positive comments about Intel's latest processors. This comes after Trump had a productive meeting with Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, as the chipmaker looks to bring its cutting-edge chip manufacturing to the US.

Minutes last report in town pasted EPS of 0.23 on revenue of $13.65 billion, this was $13.10 billion forecast.

Expectations this quarter are for EPS of eight cents a share, down 40% year on year, while revenue is seen rising 30% C 13.4 billion.

How to trade INTC earnings?

Intel broke out above its rising channel, rising to 50.39 before easing back to 47.00, pulling the RSI out of overbought territory and testing the upper band of the rising channel. The price trades above its 50 and 200 SMA.

Buyers will look to extend gains towards 52.00, the 2022 high and above her 60.00 round number comes into focus.

Support is seen at 42.50, the 2025 high. Below here, the 50 SMA is at 39.

Burberry Q3 trading update

Burberry is due to release its Q3 trading update on Wednesday. This comes as the firm is in the midst of a turnaround story that began to show signs of recovery last year, after a tough period of declining sales amid broad pressure on the luxury sector.

For the first half of the company's financial year, revenue was £1.03 billion pounds, 3% lower than the same period a year earlier. However, comparable store sales grew for the first time in two years in the second quarter, up 2%. The firm reported an operating loss of £18 million, down from a £53 million loss in the same period a year earlier.

The share price trades at a nearly one-year high, up 27% over the past 12 months.

Attention will also be on Chinese retail sales data for the quarter and on GDP figures. Any sense of slowing momentum in China, a key customer for Burberry in the broader luxury sector, could be a dampener on the price. Recent retail sales have sharply missed estimates, suggesting that the Chinese consumer remains pressurised.

How to trade BRBY earnings?

Burberry's share price traded in a holding pattern across the second half of 2025, capped on the upside at 1375 and on the downside at 1100.

The price recently rebounded lower from this upper limit, slipping to 1270. The RSI is falling below 50.

Sellers will look to extend this decline towards the 50 SM at 1230 and the 200 SMA at 1125. A break below 1100 breaks down the holding pattern.

Buyers need to rise above 1375 to create a higher high and head towards 1500.
