It has not been an easy stretch for the S&P 500. Over the last 5 trading sessions, the index has accumulated a decline of nearly -0.9%, while the broader outlook continues to show a phase of neutrality and indecision.

The Nasdaq 100 consolidates ahead of ASML earnings as leadership fades, market breadth improves and traders await fresh clues on AI demand.

With the new trading week underway, the Nasdaq 100 has managed to reach new highs. However, the session’s gain is barely above 0.5%, a moderate move compared with previous weeks, when the index posted advances of more than 1.00% in a single session.

The week starts on a positive note for the Nasdaq 100, as the first session shows a gain of more than 1.5%, with price moving closer to the never-before-seen psychological area of 30,000 points. This move continues to reinforce the idea that the buying bias remains relevant in the short term.

The week remains positive in the short term for the S&P 500, which is currently showing a gain of more than 1.5% over the last two trading sessions. The index has also reached the 7,500-point area for the first time, marking a new all-time high.

Recent sessions have started to show a more neutral tone in SPX price action, with the index hovering around its all-time highs and displaying consistent sideways movement.

The start of the week has been relatively slow for Dow Jones price action, as the index has shown a decline of around -0.1% in the short term. At this stage, the strong buying momentum seen in previous sessions has not been sustained, giving way to a pause in price movements.

The U.S. S&P 500 index has posted one of its strongest streaks of 2026, recording seven consecutive bullish sessions, with a gain of more than 6% in the short term.

With a two-session bullish streak, the Dow Jones index has posted a gain of more than 3.00% in the short term, once again showing a consistent bullish bias in recent price action.

It has been a difficult session for the Dow Jones index, as price action shows a decline of more than 1.00%, marking a new short-term bearish bias. The selling pressure emerging in the index is driven by weakening confidence in risk assets following renewed tensions between Iran and the United States.

Nasdaq 100 holds firm ahead of FOMC as momentum improves. GOOG, MSFT and RKLB highlight potential bullish setups.

Nvidia lifts the Nasdaq 100 as AI optimism returns, but key resistance and fading volume threaten to cap gains.
